YOUR DATA
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HoundAlpha (“HoundAlpha,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, websites, AI features, brokerage-connected features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information used to create and manage your account, such as your email address, username, display name, profile image, authentication identifiers, membership settings, and account creation date.
Brokerage and financial information
If you connect a supported brokerage, we and our brokerage-integration provider may process connection identifiers and tokens, institution and account information, masked account numbers, balances, holdings, transactions, orders, and portfolio performance. Brokerage login credentials are entered through the provider’s connection experience rather than directly into HoundAlpha.
Trading, strategy, and AI information
We process watchlists, alerts, order details, trading-bot configurations, strategy rules, backtest inputs and results, AI prompts and responses, attached data sources, and related histories. AI prompts and relevant context may be sent to AI and data providers to generate responses and operate requested features.
Community content and communications
We collect pack memberships, invitations, posts, comments, votes, trade ideas, messages, reports, and other content you submit. Depending on the audience and feature, this content may be visible publicly, to pack members, or to specific recipients. Pack leaderboards and social portfolio features may display performance, trades, or holdings as percentages without displaying dollar amounts.
Device, usage, and support information
We may collect device and app information, IP address, log and diagnostic events, feature interactions, notification preferences and push tokens, and information you send when requesting support. If paid features are offered, payment providers process payment details and we may receive subscription, transaction, and billing-status information; we do not receive complete payment-card numbers.
2. How we use information
- Provide, authenticate, personalize, maintain, and secure the Services.
- Connect supported brokerages, display portfolios, and transmit user-authorized orders.
- Generate AI research and strategy assistance, run backtests, operate bots, and deliver alerts.
- Enable packs, leaderboards, feeds, group messages, and other community features.
- Process memberships and payments where available.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service, security, or policy updates.
- Detect abuse, investigate incidents, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
- Analyze and improve reliability, usability, and feature performance.
3. How we disclose information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- At your direction and through social features. Information is shared with the audience you select or as described in the interface.
- Service providers. We use providers for cloud hosting, authentication, brokerage connectivity, market and news data, AI processing, notifications, communications, and payments. Current integrations may include Amazon Web Services, Supabase, SnapTrade, Expo, and applicable AI, data, and payment providers.
- Safety and legal obligations. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce agreements.
- Business transactions. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. AI processing
AI-generated responses can be incomplete or inaccurate. Prompts, strategies, selected market context, and tool results may be processed by third-party AI providers to fulfill your request. Do not submit confidential information that is not necessary for the feature. We do not use private brokerage credentials as AI prompt content.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. For example, account and active-service data is generally retained while your account remains open; diagnostic and backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion; and records needed for fraud prevention, financial reconciliation, or legal compliance may be retained longer.
6. Your choices and rights
- Update profile and notification settings in the app.
- Disconnect supported brokerage connections through account settings.
- Choose the audience for content where audience controls are offered.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@houndalpha.com.
- Request permanent account deletion through our Account Deletion page.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport, protected cloud storage, and restricted service credentials. No security measure or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. International processing
HoundAlpha and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live.
